Ilford XP2 Super 400 - 35mm 36Exp

The contrast on this film holds up beautifully even with harsh shadows and bright highlights in the same frame. I'm impressed by how fine the grain stays for a 400-speed stock, and the wide brightness range really does deliver.

I was shooting a mix of bright sun and deep shadows and this film handled both perfectly without losing detail. The fine grain still holds up well even after I scanned it at 4000 dpi.

Shot a roll of this at a concert last weekend and the grain is barely there even in the shadowy shots, which honestly surprised me for a 400. Being able to drop it off at any lab that does C-41 makes the whole thing way less of a hassle than traditional black and white.
