Ilford Ortho Plus 80 - 120

The ISO 80 rating means I can shoot wide open in soft daylight without worrying about overexposure, and the orthochromatic look gives skin tones that lovely vintage feel. It's become my go-to for portrait sessions where I want something a bit different from standard panchromatic stocks.

The tonal range on this is gorgeous for copy work, and it handles line art without any haloing. I shot a roll at box speed and the midtones came out perfectly smooth, though I did have to set my meter a bit lower than I initially thought.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well this handled both fine text and smooth grayscale in my copy work. The ISO 80 speed is forgiving enough for studio lighting but still gives crisp detail in the shadows.
