Category: Photographic Equipment Cameras

Reto's half-frame camera fits twice as many photos onto a standard roll of film. For example, 72 exposures on a 36-exposure roll, 48 on a 24-exposure roll, and so on.

With colour film now so expensive, this half-frame camera will save you money in your analogue shooting. The exposures have a vertical (portrait) orientation as opposed to a horizontal (landscape), with images being
18?24 mm format on regular 135 films.

We fondly remember the Olympus Pen from Japan, and in our view, a half-frame is a great way to counter the cost of living crisis for photographers.

Available in a range of subtle contemporary colours of Sand, Sage, Brown and Black, you'll have a unique new 35mm film camera that comes with a fixed lens and built-in flash, which works by simply twisting the silver lens ring.

I've shot two rolls already and love how 72 exposures come from a single 36-exposure roll, which really stretches my film budget. The black body feels solid in hand, and the simple controls make it easy to use without overthinking.

Sebastian C. ★★★★★

The half-frame format is a genius money-saver right now—I loaded a standard 36-exposure roll and got 72 shots, which basically doubles my fun per euro. The camera feels solid and compact in hand, and the black finish looks sharp, but the real win is just how easy it is to shoot two frames without th

Getting 72 shots from a single roll means I actually think twice before wasting a frame, and the little viewfinder is surprisingly bright for such a compact body. It’s become my daily carry for street shots—light enough to forget it’s in my jacket, and the plastic build feels fine for the price.
