Our opinion

You cannot get a finer-grain, high-speed colour negative sheet film than Kodak Portra 400.

At actual ISO 400 speed, it offers exceptional colour saturation over a wide range of lighting conditions.

As a large format photographer, you'll also appreciate consistently smooth, natural reproduction of the full range of skin tones.

Although Portra 400 sheet film is the ideal choice for portrait and fashion photography, you can equally use it for stunning nature, travel and outdoor photography, where the action is fast, or the lighting is unchangeable.

Timothy C. ★★★★★

Shot four sheets at a family gathering in mixed window light and the colour just pops without any fiddly correction. Grain is practically invisible at this size, which is exactly what I was hoping for. Only wish it came in a cheaper 5-pack, but the quality makes it worth it.

Aurora M. ★★★★★

The 8x10 size is really something special—the detail across the entire frame is incredible. Shot a few test exposures in open shade and the color saturation came out beautifully balanced with no fuss.

Joshua O. ★★★★★

Shot these at box speed in mixed daylight and tungsten, and the colour saturation stayed true without getting muddy in the shadows. The 8x10 sheets handled push processing beautifully too, which I wasn't expecting from a 400-speed film.
