The Analyser Pro is a variable contrast analyser that gives the correct tone and exposure prior to printing. However, this electronic box of tricks does more besides basic spot metering. It will let you see a greyscale range, change a grade (in half grade increments) or even fine control f-stop changes without wasting a single sheet of paper. You also get eight memory channels, densitometer feature, burning-in control and wide range of timing (1-240 seconds).

It has built-in digital enlarger timer and you can even have an automatic test print if so required. This comprehensive printer's aid is capable of of working using a footswitch (which is ?15 extra) and auto on/off safelight switch.

Supplied with basic and advanced feature instruction manual, it's the only meter/timer that you'll ever need to buy, however, should it not suit we'll give a no-quibble 14 day money-back guarantee.

Emma ★★★★★

Switching from my old paper-grade filters to this analyser saved me at least three test strips on the first print. The variable contrast reading is spot-on and the exposure calculation feels like it took the guesswork out of the darkroom.

Stella C. ★★★★★

I’ve been using it for a week of darkroom sessions, and the way it handles variable contrast grading before I even make a test strip has cut my paper waste way down. The spot metering is dead-on for subtle highlight details, which used to be my biggest frustration.

Penelope S. ★★★★★

The ability to save base exposure times for multiple grades is a game-changer for my darkroom sessions. I can finally visualize the final print contrast before wasting any paper. It paid for itself within the first few uses.
