The CineStill Temperature Control System TCS-1000 immersion circulator/thermostat is a great idea and a simple solution for developing your black and white, colour negative, or slide films at home.

This system allows you to efficiently and easily mix your chemistry, heat it to the precise processing temperature, and maintain it during the entire developing session.

Finally, the modern film photographer can semi-automate the process of mixing concentrates and powder chemicals, heating them to the precise processing temperature, and maintain the desired temperature during the entire developing session.

It holds two 1000ml. storage bottles (collapsible accordion style, wide-mouth, Jobi, etc.), in a sink, tub, or basin of your preference, at the desired temperature.

The intuitive interface presets the control to standard C-41 processing, and easily adjustable temperature and timers for any process.

With the TCS-1000 you can easily mix and heat chemistry in a 1000ml. mixing jug in seconds, without spills or additional oxidation while being able to reheat chemistry preserved in the fridge for longer shelf life.

Main Features:

Intuitive ready-to-use interface does not require additional timers, downloading phone apps, nor connecting to bluetooth/wifi

Display and firmware preprogrammed to process film with an adjustable two-stage timer for any process (C-41, E-6, B&W, etc.) in Min : Sec

Simple toggling between ?C/?F readouts

Universal bottle holder holds two 1000ml. storage bottles (collapsible accordion style, Wide-Mouth, JOBO, etc.) in a sink, tub, or basin of your preference

PTC heating element, brushless DC motor and polypropylene impeller

Stainless steel housing

Ground protection and temp/water level/overheat protection sensor

High efficiency DC brushless motor offers fast speed, low noise, does not give off heat when processing film at lower temperatures, and has a life cycle over 4,000 working hours, 20-30% longer than most kitchen appliances.

Display and firmware designed for processing film, starts up ready to process color film with adjustable two-stage timer for any process (C-41, E-6, Df96 monobath, etc.) in Min : Sec

User-adjustable precise temperature control, accurate from 0?C to 95?C (+/-0.1?C), compared to cooking appliances which are only accurate between 45?C to 99?C (film processing ranges between 18?C - 40?C)

Please note the unit does not invert or agitate so is technically a heater rather than a processor.

Set it to 100°F and walked away for an hour — came back and the thermometer read exactly the same. My color negatives have never come out this consistent, and the immersion circulator keeps the whole tank evenly heated instead of hot spots on the bottom.

I can finally stop babysitting my soup and trust the TCS-1000 to keep my developer within 0.1°F for the whole 12-minute development cycle. This little circulator made my first roll of E-6 come out perfectly even, which is a huge step up from my previous water-bath method.

George Y. ★★★★★

My darkroom used to be a guessing game with a thermometer and a pot of water, but this circulator keeps the chemistry at a rock-steady temp for the whole development run. The digital readout is spot-on and the immersion design means I can just set it and walk away to focus on agitation. It’s made ho
