Category: Film & Film Processing Film Processing Equipment

Superbly engineered from 316 Stainless Steel for lifetime use, this reel is easy to load thanks to the design of its sprocket system and its simple hook-on loading device; hold the film out straight and turn the reel until the sprocket holes catch onto the hooks - all in less than 2 seconds. This version fits most standard size stainless steel developing tanks. The spiral diameter is 83mm or 3.25 inches.

For convenience, you'll find that this stainless steel can be reloaded when wet, unlike plastic ones (which need to be dry).

The second picture shows how the reel sits in the optional 35mm Samignon Stainless Steel tank.

Sebastian ★★★★★

The hook-on loading device is such a relief after fiddling with other reels—film slides right into the sprocket system without kinking. Feels solid in the hand, like it'll outlast my camera gear.

Jason ★★★★★

I was nervous about loading film onto a stainless reel, but the sprocket system made it genuinely effortless on my first try. The steel feels solid and precision-machined, exactly what you want for something that’s supposed to last a lifetime.

Emily ★★★★★

The hook-on loading device is a game-changer for me—no more wrestling with film in the dark, it just clicks into place and feeds smoothly along the sprockets. I've run three rolls through it this week and the 316 steel feels like it'll outlast my camera.
