Fomapan 400 5x7" 50 Sheets
Fomapan 400 is a versatile black and white sheet film that offers a dependable balance of speed, detail and affordability. It is ideal for 5x7 photographers who want a flexible ISO 400 option for mixed lighting conditions, location work or fast-paced large format shooting.
Why We Like It
Fomapan 400 has long been a favourite among students, educators and darkroom regulars. It gives you a generous exposure latitude, so it copes well with challenging lighting and still produces a printable negative. At its box speed of ISO 400 it offers medium contrast with a classic grain structure that suits anything from portraits to documentary projects. It also handles pushing remarkably well, often up to EI 1600, which makes it a helpful choice when you are working outdoors at dusk or in interiors where slower films would struggle. For anyone exploring 5x7 for the first time, this is a reliable and budget-friendly film that rewards careful development.
