Category: Film & Film Processing Black & White Film

This new black and white film from Harman Technology is a superb 'value' film - ideal for those new or returning to film photography and budget-conscious photographers struggling with the current cost of living pressures.

  • High-speed ISO 400
  • Classic looking grain and good sharpness
  • Broad tonal range with 'medium' contrast
  • Wide and forgiving exposure latitude with excellent 'push' capabilities

Compared to Kentmere PAN 100, this film is faster with more noticeable grain and better latitude for pushing; compared to Ilford HP5, it has less latitude for pushing/pulling and is less forgiving to under or over-exposure it doesn't handle extremes of contrast as well.

Brian L. ★★★★★

Finally got around to shooting a roll of this in my medium format and the grain structure is lovely—classic B&W character without the premium price tag. Honestly perfect for when you want to experiment without worrying about wasting expensive frames.

Amelia ★★★★★

For a budget-friendly 120 film, this stuff punches way above its weight—the grain is pleasingly classic and it pushes a stop or two without getting too messy. I shot a whole roll at box speed and the negatives scanned beautifully, honestly hard to beat at this price point.

Penelope ★★★★★

120 film prices are getting brutal lately, so this one's a lifesaver for shooting medium format without cringing. I've shot a few rolls now and the grain is classic and punchy, exactly what I want from a budget black and white stock. For the price, it's honestly hard to beat.
