Washi's Film ''F'' is a special X-ray film that has been converted for 35mm photographic use. Designed for specialist mass lung disease diagnose it is not as thick as normal X-ray film and is coated only on one side, without an anti-halation layer that gives , a high diffusion effect and beautiful grain.

Because of this, and the wonderful scattering of light that is recorded with it we feel it is truly a unique film within the monochrome world and worthy of further investigation when those special dreamy effect prints are required.

You can process it in the normal way with your standard developing tank although Washi has sacrificed the leader for you to minimize fogging. It is green sensitive to light.

Henry ★★★★★

Thin enough to load like regular film, which surprised me given its X-ray origins—the contrast is stunning for a roll this inexpensive. It's become my go-to for moody, low-light street shots.

Riley X. ★★★★★

Shooting with this converted X-ray film gave my portraits a wonderfully soft, ethereal look I’ve never gotten from regular stock. I love how it handles contrast in bright daylight without blowing out highlights. The thin base does make loading a bit fiddly, but the results are totally worth it.

Jacob ★★★★★

The thinness of this film really surprised me — it loaded smoothly into my old manual camera without any issues. The fine grain on the negatives gives a unique, ethereal look to chest X-rays I've been experimenting with. Definitely a fun alternative stock for anyone wanting to try something differen
